Let us straighten your teeth and improve your smile!
We offer variety of orthodontic services for the Guntersville, Albertville and Arab areas.
Six Month Smiles® Cosmetic Braces
For teens and adults, we offer nearly invisible cosmetic braces that work in as little as six months! Six Month Smiles is designed for patients who want minor changes to the teeth that show when you smile. These tooth-colored brackets and wires are barely noticeable — they blend very well with the color of your teeth. These definitely aren’t metal braces! This system uses new and specific orthodontic technology that provides safe, comfortable and efficient tooth movement. To get started, call us at 582-CARE to schedule a consultation.
Invisalign® Clear Aligners.
Invisalign is a series of clear removable aligners (trays) that are custom-made to fit perfectly on your teeth. You typically will be given 3 sets of aligners at a time and wear each set for 2 weeks. You then return to our office to receive your next 3 sets of aligners. Length of treatment will vary by patient, but typically ranges from 9-24 months. The aligners must be worn 23 hours a day and should only be removed for eating and brushing your teeth. Invisalign treatment is ideal for a person who does not want brackets and wires but who is able to consistently wear the aligners. If the trays are worn as directed, the teeth will move as intended. To get started, call us at 582-CARE to schedule a consultation.
Conventional Orthodontics
For children and teens who need complete orthodontic care, we offer traditional braces using metal brackets and wires. Treatment times range from 12-48 months depending on the specific needs of each patient. Treatment fees are based on estimated length of treatment and the number and type of appliances that may be needed. To get started, call us at 582-CARE to schedule a consultation with Dr. Harper. We will do a basic oral exam to determine if you are a candidate for braces. If you are, the next step is the Records Appointment — a one-hour visit when we take x-rays, models and photos of your teeth to determine the type and length of treatment that you or your child needs. Dr. Harper will study these records, and have you return in a week to discuss the treatment plan and case fee. At that time, our Treatment Coordinator can review any dental insurance coverage you may have and discuss our flexible payment options with you.
Dental Insurance for Orthodontics
Many dental insurance plans provide a benefit for orthodontics that may help defer the cost of treatment. Most have a lifetime maximum of $1,000 to $1,500 subject to a deductible and copay amount. Many plans cover orthodontics up to a certain age, ranging from 19-26. Very few plans have orthodontic coverage for adults. When you provide your insurance information, we will be happy to assist you in understanding your insurance benefits. As a courtesy, we will also file the necessary claim forms to your insurance plan. For the remainder of the treatment fee, we offer a variety of payment plans to fit within your budget. DISCLAIMER: Dr. Chris Harper, Dr. Aaron George and Dr. Austin Baker are not orthodontists. They are general dentists who have received post-doctoral training and education in the practice of orthodontics. They are not specialists. Some severe cases will be referred to a specialist for treatment.
