Accessibility Statement

Everyone deserves easy access to the care and information they need. Here's how we make our website accessible, and how to reach us for help.

Last reviewed: October 2, 2026

In short: We want everyone to be able to use our website. If anything on this site is hard for you to use, call us at (256) 582-2248 and we will help you directly — including scheduling, forms, and any information on this site.

Our commitment

Total Dental Care is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology. We are continually working to improve the experience for every visitor.

Our standard

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our standard. We have reviewed our website against this standard, and we are not aware of any content we control that does not meet it. Some content on our site is provided by other companies and may not fully meet the standard (see "Third-party content" below). Under W3C guidelines, this is described as partial conformance due to third-party content.

What we have done

  1. Tested our website with automated accessibility tools and corrected the issues found.
  2. Organized every page with a clear heading structure, including one main heading per page.
  3. Added a "Skip to main content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation menu.
  4. Made sure links and buttons have clear, descriptive names, including buttons that appear in more than one place.
  5. Added text descriptions to images, or marked them as decorative where they carry no information.
  6. Checked text and background colors for sufficient contrast.
  7. Made sure page content is visible without needing to scroll or rely on animation.
  8. Built these checks into how our website is maintained, so new pages follow the same standard.
  9. Continue to monitor the site with regular automated scans.

Third-party content

Some features of our website are provided by other companies, and we do not fully control their accessibility:

  1. Google Maps: the location map on our Contact page
  2. Termly: our cookie consent notice, and the text of our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms and Conditions pages
  3. UserWay: the optional accessibility menu described below
  4. Websites we link to, such as CareCredit

If any of these cause a problem for you, contact us and we will provide the information another way.

Accessibility tools

Our website includes an optional accessibility menu, provided by UserWay, that lets you adjust things like text size, spacing, and contrast. This tool is offered for convenience. It is not a substitute for our own work to make the site accessible, and you do not need to use it to access our content.
