Meet the Total Dental Care Team
We are led by Dr. Chris Harper, Dr. Aaron George, Dr. Austin Baker and our Office Manager Carol Harper. Each doctor works with two Hygienists, two Assistants and one Scheduling Coordinator. In addition, our business team includes two Treatment Coordinators, a Hygiene Coordinator, a New Patient Coordinator and an Insurance Coordinator. We are also supported by two part-time staff: our Public Relations Director Mollie George, and a part-time Records Clerk. All of us work together to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Dr. Chris K. Harper
Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry
Founder & President
Dr. Harper was born in Birmingham, AL. He attended Mercer University in Macon, GA on an academic and tennis scholarship, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry. He then went to work as a dental sales consultant for 8 years. Dr. Harper began dental school at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, where he graduated in 2007. He and his wife Carol moved to Guntersville in 2010 and founded Total Dental Care. Dr. Harper is a member of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry and the UAB Dental School Alumni Association. He has focused his post-graduate training on orthodontics, dental implants, sleep apnea and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Harper was voted "Best Dentist" of 2014 in the Sand Mountain Reporter Reader's Choice Awards, and "Best Dentist" of 2015, 2016 and 2017 in the Advertiser-Gleam's Reader's Choice Awards. In 2019, he became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He enjoys running, mountain biking and boating. He is an active member of the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce and the Guntersville First United Methodist Church. Their daughter Mandy is a University of Alabama graduate and teaches middle school in Tuscaloosa.
Dr. Aaron J. George
Dr. George is a native of Vicksburg, MS. He attended college at the University of South Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He played baseball on scholarship there. Dr. George then attended dental school at the University of Mississippi, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He has attended continuing education courses in endodontics (root canals), pediatric dentistry, sleep apnea, Six Month Smiles, Invisalign and dental implants. He and his wife, Mollie Richards George, also of Vicksburg, have three children-twins, Garrett and Avery and Sadie. Dr. George loves life here in Guntersville, where he can enjoy his interests of fishing and boating. He also enjoys baseball and football, working out and traveling. Dr. George and his family attend St. Williams Catholic Church in Guntersville, and are active with the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Austin Baker
Dr. Austin Baker is a native of Sarasota, Fl. He attended Auburn University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating as an honors scholar and Magna Cum Laude in 2013. He then attended dental school at The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2017. He received an award from the American Academy of Orofacial Pain for the assessment and management of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. While in dental school, he served as a legislative liaison and philanthropy chair for the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Baker is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Alabama Dental Association, and the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Baker is married to Dr. Jodi Baker, an optometrist who also graduated from Auburn University and The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry and owns and practices at Lakeview Eye Care. They are expecting their first child in August of 2023 and enjoy boating, traveling, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
LeAnn McLain

Practice Manager
LeAnn has been in the medical field since 2003. She is a 2022 graduate of the Marshall County Leadership Challenge and in 2023, she became a Fellow of the American Association of Dental Office Management. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, theatre and taking weekend trips. She also enjoys being involved in her church and community. She joined Total Dental Care in 2016 and is a recipient of the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Carol G. Harper, JD
Financial Manager
Carol is responsible for the financial aspects of the practice, including accounts payable, payroll, health plan administration, retirement plan administration, and facility management. She is a two-time alumnus of the University of Alabama, earning her bachelor's degree in 1997, and her law degree in 2003. She served as our Practice Manager from our start in 2010 through 2022, and moved to the Financial Manager position in 2023.
Carol is a 2012 graduate of the Marshall County Leadership Challenge, and currently serves as the Chair of its Board of Directors. She is also Past Chair of the MCLC Alumni Association. Carol is a founding member and Past President of the Marshall Women's Guild, and currently serves as Chair of the Membership committee. Carol is a frequent guest speaker on leadership topics, and an active member of Guntersville First Methodist Church. Carol enjoys reading, cooking, hiking and most of all, traveling to new and exciting places.
Mollie George, RDH
Director of Public Relations
Hiring Committee
Mollie has worked in the dental field since 2005. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated from the Dental Hygiene School at Meridian Community College. Mollie serves on the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Apple Foundation Board, Guntersville Elementary PTO and the Marshall Women's Guild. Mollie is married to Dr. Aaron George and they have three children and are active members of St. Williams Catholic Church. She enjoys traveling, reading, watching her kids play sports and hanging out with family and friends.
Gina Kirkley, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Hygiene Team Leader
Gina has worked in dentistry since 1979, when she began as a dental assistant in Opelika, AL. She and her family moved to Guntersville in 1981. Gina received her dental hygiene license from the UAB School of Dentistry in 1985. Gina has one daughter and three grandchildren. She is an active member of First Baptist Church Guntersville, where she sings in the choir. Gina has been with Total Dental Care since it was founded in 2010 and is a recipient of the 2019, 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Glenda Meadow
Treatment Coordinator
Glenda works with patients to find affordable payment arrangements for the treatment they need. She also handles the dental insurance claims for the practice. Glenda completed dental assisting school at Chattanooga State Technical College in 1985. She has worked in dentistry since 1988, in both Tennessee and Alabama and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She is married and has two children and five grandchildren. She enjoys reading and traveling with her husband. Glenda has been with Total Dental Care since it was founded in 2010 and is a recipient of the 2021 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Kristi Goodman, RDH
Dental Assistant
Kristi is a graduate of Geraldine High School, class of 1989. She has been in the dental field as a dental assistant since 1989. Kristi graduated from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program with honors in May 2013. She is married with two sons, and a daughter-in-law. Kristi enjoys reading, music and helping others. She joined Total Dental Care in 2015.
Charley Kennedy

Charley was born in Nashville TN. In 2008, she obtained her dental assisting license graduating with honors from Remington College. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, traveling and pretty much anything that involves being outside. Charley joined Total Dental Care in 2016 and is a recipient of the 2019 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Sharon Saylor, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Sharon was born in Albertville and has lived in Marshall County most of her life. She and her husband have five children and eight grandchildren. Sharon has worked in dentistry since 1999. She started as a dental assistant and was certified as a TMJ, orthodontic and sleep assistant. She then earned her dental hygiene license in 2007 from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham. Sharon joined Total Dental Care in 2017 is a recipient of the 2019 and 2020 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Meagan Connell

Meagan has been a dental assistant since 2011. The same year she graduated from Wallace State Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science. Meagan likes to be outdoors, and enjoys fishing, riding four-wheelers, and horseback riding. Meagan is married and has two sons. Meagan joined Total Dental Care in 2017, and is a recipient of the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Coley Adams
Dental Assistant
Coley is a 1998 graduate of Guntersville High School. She and her husband met in high school and have been married since 1999. They have two sons and a bonus daughter. Coley has been a dental assistant since 2005. She is an active member of Compassion City Church and serves as City Kid Servant. Outside of work and church Coley loves to visiting the beach, attending Guntersville Wildcat football games, eating out and most of all spending time with her family and fur babies. Coley joined Total Dental Care in 2019 and is a recipient of the 2020, 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Makinzi Oliver, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Makinzi was born and raised in Georgia and moved to Alabama in 2019. She has been in dentistry since 2007. Makinzi obtained her assisting certification and dental hygiene degree from West Georgia Technical College. She and her husband live on a cattle farm in Boaz with their daughter and chocolate lab. They enjoy hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers dirt track racing and the outdoors. Makinzi joined Total Dental Care in 2019 and is a recipient of the 2020 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Katy Nailor, RDH
Dental Hygienist
Katy graduated from Guntersville High School then in 2013 received an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Wallace State. She lives in Guntersville with her husband and two sons. Katy and her family enjoy spending time on the lake and being outdoors. She Joined Total Dental Care in 2020 and is a recipient of the 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Lisa Branham
Scheduling Coordinator
Lisa grew up in Snead and graduated from Susan Moore High School in 1993. She lives in Horton, has four children and two grandsons. Lisa loves living the simple, peaceful country life, spending time with family, spoiling her grandsons, and following true crime VLOGs on YouTube. She attends Compassion City Church in Albertville. Lisa joined Total Dental Care in 2020 and is a recipient of the 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Janie Isaac
Insurance Coordinator
Janie lives in Altoona and enjoys peace, quiet and the outdoors. She loves visiting her children and grandchildren. She has an associates degree in business management from Snead State and a Bachelor's degree in business management from Bellevue University. Janie joined Total Dental Care in 2021 and is a recipient of the 2021 and 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Melissa Aragon
Dental Assistant
Melissa grew up in Alabama as the oldest of four girls. She lives in Guntersville. Her dental career began in 2019 after graduating from Birmingham Dental Assisting School, and she enjoys every bit of it. When she's not at work, Melissa enjoys being out with her friends trying new food places, or being outdoors. She might also be found at home binge watching a tv series on Netflix. She loves going to the beach- it's her favorite place, and she's always down for hot wings. Melissa joined Total Dental Care in 2021.
Rosa Castillo
Sterilization & Lab Manager
Rosa is a graduate of Cleveland High School, Class of 2018. She went to Wallace State Community College where she earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with family and friends. Rosa joined Total Dental Care in 2022 and is a recipient of the 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Hallie Nixon RDH
Hygiene Coordinator
Hallie graduated from Albertville High School in 2018. She then attended Wallace State Community College and earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science- Dental Hygiene in 2022. Hallie got married in August 2022. She enjoys spending time with her dogs and her family at the lake. Hallie joined Total Dental Care in 2022.
Shannon Ragan RDH
Dental Hygienist
Shannon has worked in dentistry since 2004, when she started her first dental job during high school. She received her dental hygiene degree and license in 2010 from UAB. Shannon is married and has two kids. She is an active member of New Home #2 Baptist Church. Shannon enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling, going to sporting event, and watching her kids play sports. Shannon joined Total Dental Care in 2022.
Monica Vargas
Treatment Coordinator
Monica grew up in Crossville AL. She began taking clinicals for dental assisting in high school, and began working as a dental assistant with on the job training in 2018. Monica became Lead Dental Assistant in 2020, and also received front desk training. She transitioned to dental receptionist in 2022, and enjoys helping patients in every aspect of dentistry. During her free time, Monica enjoys traveling with her son, shopping and spending time with family. Monica joined Total Dental Care in 2022.
Carol Williams
New Patient Coordinator
Carol was born in Albertville, and graduated from Douglas High School in 1992. She has 3 children. Carol graduated from UAB School of Dentistry Dental Assisting program in 2012. She worked as a Treatment Coordinator for UAB for 10 years. Carol joined Total Dental Care in 2022 and is a recipient of the 2022 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Anna Mai Bearden
Dental Assistant
Anna Mai is a 2017 graduate of Asbury High School. She graduated from the Huntsville Dental Assisting School in 2022. From a young age, she has always loved going to the dentist. She began school with the intention of studying education, but quickly realized she wanted a career in dentistry. Anna Mai joined Total Dental Care in 2022

Abbigail graduated from Albertville High School in 2019 and Huntsville Dental Assisting school in 2022. She enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family. Abbigail joined Total Dental Care in 2022!
Brittany Jones
Scheduling Coordinator
Brittany has worked in the dental field since 2013. She graduated from Jacksonville State University with a bachelor’s in communication for Broadcast Journalism. She is married with two daughters. Brittany enjoys spending time with her family on the lake, going to the beach and spending time outdoors! She has been part of the Total Dental Care team since the beginning of 2023.
Ashley Parker
Dental Assistant
Ashley’s dental journey began in 2007 when she discovered her love of caring for others' oral health.
Ashley has five children – four girls and a boy. Alongside her husband, she coaches basketball in Crossville, where their shared love for the sport unfolds on the court.
Beyond her roles as a dental assistant and coach, Ashley and her husband formed a band where she is lead vocalist and he plays bass.
To her, dentistry, family, basketball, and music seamlessly come together, creating a vibrant patchwork of experiences that reflect her diverse interests and unwavering dedication to what matters most.
