Meet Our Team
We are led by Dr. Chris Harper, Dr. Aaron George, Dr. Austin Baker and our Office Manager Carol Harper. Each doctor works with two Hygienists, two Assistants and one Scheduling Coordinator. In addition, our business team includes two Treatment Coordinators, a Hygiene Coordinator, a New Patient Coordinator and an Insurance Coordinator. We are also supported by two part-time staff: our Public Relations Director Mollie George, and a part-time Records Clerk. All of us work together to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Dr. Chris K. Harper, DMD
Founder & President
Dr. Harper was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Mercer University in Macon, Georgia on an academic and tennis scholarship, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry. He then went to work as a dental sales consultant for 8 years. Dr. Harper then began dental school at UAB School of Dentistry in Birmingham, where he graduated in 2007. Dr. Harper and his wife Carol moved to Guntersville in 2010 and founded Total Dental Care. Dr. Harper is a member of the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society, and the UAB Dental School Alumni Association. He has focused his post-graduate training on orthodontics, dental implants, sleep apnea and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Harper was voted "Best Dentist" of 2014 in the Sand Mountain Reporter Reader's Choice Awards, and "Best Dentist" of 2015, 2016 and 2017 in the Advertiser-Gleam's Reader's Choice Awards. He enjoys running, mountain biking and boating. He and his wife Carol are active members of the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce and the Guntersville First United Methodist Church. Their daughter Mandy is a University of Alabama graduate and teaches middle school in Tuscaloosa.
Dr. Aaron J. George, DMD
Dr. George is a native of Vicksburg, MS. He attended college at the University of South Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He played baseball on scholarship there. Dr. George then attended dental school at the University of Mississippi, where he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. He has attended continuing education courses in endodontics (root canals), pediatric dentistry, sleep apnea, Six Month Smiles, Invisalign and dental implants. He and his wife, Mollie Richards George, also of Vicksburg, have three children-twins, Garrett and Avery and Sadie. Dr. George loves life here in Guntersville, where he can enjoy his interests of fishing and boating. He also enjoys baseball and football, working out and traveling. Dr. George and his family attend St. Williams Catholic Church in Guntersville, and are active with the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Austin Baker, DMD
Dr. Austin Baker is a native of Sarasota, Fl. He attended Auburn University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, graduating as an honors scholar and Magna Cum Laude in 2013. He then attended dental school at The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2017. He received an award from the American Academy of Orofacial Pain for the assessment and management of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain. While in dental school, he served as an legislative liaison and philanthropy chair for the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Baker is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Alabama Dental Association, and the American Dental Education Association. Dr. Baker is married to Jodi Baker, who is currently a 4th year optometry student attending The University of Alabama School of Optometry. He enjoys exercising, playing basketball, and carpentry, and is looking forward to living near the lake and becoming part of the Guntersville community.
Carol G. Harper, JD
Carol is responsible for office administration, facility management, accounts payable, human resources, and marketing. She is a two-time alumus of the University of Alabama, earning her bachelor's degree in 1997, and her law degree in 2003. Carol is President of the Board of Directors for the Marshall Medical Centers Foundation, and a member of the Board of Directors for United Way of Marshall County. She is also a founding member and Past President of the Marshall Women's Guild. Carol is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Management, and the Society for Human Resource Management. She also serves on the City of Guntersville Board of Adjustments, and is an active member of the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce and the Guntersville First United Methodist Church.
Mollie George, RDH
Director of Public Relations
Mollie has worked in dental field since 2005. She was a practicing dental hygienist for 8 years until she and husband Dr. Aaron George moved to Guntersville. She attended Mississippi State University and graduated from the Dental Hygiene School at Meridian Community College. Mollie serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce as the Chair-elect and the vice-president of the Guntersville Elementary PTO. She is also active in the Marshall Women's Guild. Mollie and Dr. George have three children, twins Garrett & Avery and Sadie. They are active members of St. Williams Catholic Church where she serves on the building committee.
Gina Kirkley, RDH
Gina has worked in dentistry since 1979, when she began as a dental assistant in Opelika, AL. She and her family moved to Guntersville in 1981. Gina received her dental hygiene license from the UAB School of Dentistry in 1985. She enjoys taking care of her patients and helping them with all their dental needs. Gina has two daughters, two grandsons and one grand-daughter. She is an active member of the Guntersville First Baptist Church, where she sings in the choir. Gina has been with Total Dental Care since it was founded in 2010
Glenda works with patients to find affordable payment arrangements for the treatment they need. She also handles the dental insurance claims for the practice. Glenda completed dental assisting school at Chattanooga State Technical College in 1985. She has worked in dentistry since 1988, in both Tennessee and Alabama. She has worked with TDC since its creation in 2010. Glenda enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She is married and has two children and three grandchildren. She enjoys reading and traveling with her husband. Glenda has been with Total Dental Care since it was founded in 2010.
Sandra Young, RDH
Sandra began her journey in dentistry in 1988 by volunteering as a dental assistant at Camp Darby in Livorno, Italy. She eventually traveled to Albertville, AL in 1991 and worked as an assistant while going to school to earn her dental hygiene license, which she obtained in 1996. Sandra has continued her volunteer work at the Great Physician's Clinic in Albertville for the past ten years. She is married, and has three daughters two step-daughters, and three grandsons. Sandra loves traveling, walking, hiking, but most of all loves spending time with her three grandsons. She attends Central Baptist Church in Albertville. Sandra joined Total Dental Care in 2012.
Angie Womack, RDH
Angie began her career in dentistry in 1997 working as a dental assistant. She earned her dental hygiene license from UAB School of Dentistry in 1999. Angie has attended many hours of continuing education courses which have helped her to educate her patients about their oral health as well as their overall health. She says the most rewarding part of her profession is the personal connection she shares with each of her patients. Angie lives in Scottsboro with her husband, and has two daughters that she adores. She attends Connect Church in Guntersville with her family. Angie joined Total Dental Care in 2013.
Victoria Powell, RDH
Victoria began her dental career in 1992 as a dental assistant, but soon realized that dental hygiene is where her true passion really lies. She received her dental hygiene license in 1995 from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham, and has been helping patients to improve their oral health ever since. Victoria combines her caring attitude with a gentle touch. In her spare time, she enjoys rafting, motorcycling, 4-wheeling and trying to keep up with her energetic french bulldog! Victoria joined Total Dental Care in 2013.
Kristi Goodman, RDH
Kristi is a graduate of Geraldine High School, class of 1989. She has been in the dental field as a dental assistant since 1990. Kristi graduated from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program with honors as a Registered Dental Hygienist in May 2013. She is been married to Johnny Goodman. They have two sons, Zeke and Jake, and a daughter-in-law Beth. Kristi enjoys reading, music and helping others. Kristi joined Total Dental Care in 2015.
Kayla has been in the dental field since 2014. What she enjoys most about dentistry is being able to meet new people and help them achieve their best smile. Kayla lives in Crossville and enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her new nephew. Kayla joined Total Dental Care in 2015.

LeAnn has 12-year history in the medical field. She lives in Albertville with her husband and 4 children. When she isn't working, LeAnn spends her time at her childrens' after school events, and volunteering with SafeKids as a Certified Child Passenger Technician. She is also an active member at New Harmony Baptist Church. LeAnn joined Total Dental Care in 2016, and is a winner of the 2018 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Charley was born and raised in Nashville TN. She graduated with honors from Remington College with her dental assisting license. Whether it's front or back office procedures, Charley enjoys doing both. She joined the dental field because she believes everyone should have a beautiful smile they are proud to show. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her German sheperd "Maverick", hiking, all kinds of festivals and pretty much anything else that involves being outside. Charley joined Total Dental Care in 2016
Amy Ishee, RDH
Hygiene Team Leader
Amy began her dental career in 1990 as an orthodontic assistant while in high school. From the beginning of her co-op experience, there was no doubt that she was interested in advancing her career as a dental hygienist. She received her dental hygiene license in 1994 from Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham. Amy has a passion for helping others, educating patients on home care techniques, and improving patient smiles. When Amy has free time, she enjoys traveling (which is in her blood as a military child), photography, swimming, skydiving, scuba diving and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Amy attends Church of the Highlands in Madison. Amy joined Total Dental Care in 2017.
Sharon Saylor, RDH
Sharon was born in Albertville and has lived in Marshall County most of her life. She and her husband Rick have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Sharon has worked in dentistry since 1999. She started as a dental assistant and was certified as a TMJ, orthodontic and sleep assistant. She then earned her dental hygiene license in 2007 from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham. Sharon loves to help keep her patients smiling! Sharon joined Total Dental Care in 2017.
Talesia is a 2006 graduate of Kate Duncan Smith D.A.R. high school. She worked as a dental lab technician before joining the team at Total Dental Care. Talesia enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, their two sons Hunter and Bentley, and nephew Memphis. Talesia joined Total Dental Care in 2017, and is a winner of the 2018 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Rachael Childers, RDH
Rachael began her career in dentistry in 2011 working as a dental assistant. She earned her dental hygiene license through the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2014. Rachael lives in Arab with her husband Bobby and twin boys Emmit and Bolyn. She is an active member of Summit Crossing Community Church in Madison, and enjoys sewing and crafting in her free time. Rachael joined Total Dental Care in 2017.
Meagan has been a dental assistant since 2011. She graduated from Wallace State Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 2011. Her favorite part of the job is seeing patients get their smile and their confidence back. Meagan lives on a farm and loves the "country life". She likes to be outdoors, and enjoys fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers, and horseback riding. Meagan has a 2 year old son named Cole. Meagan joined Total Dental Care in 2017, and is a winner of the 2018 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Assistants Team Leader
Jolynne attended Saint Leo University where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree. She began her dental career in 2002. She is married to Michael Schneider who is retired from the United States Air Force. They have one son, Mike, who is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard. She loves helping people to improve their smiles, and loves learning new things. Her hobbies include traveling, boating, paddle-boarding, being with family & friends, reading and cross-stitching. Jolynne attends St. Williams Catholic Church in Guntersville. JoLynne joined Total Dental Care in 2018.
New Patient Coordinator
Nickie was born and raised in Illinois. She moved to Alabama in 2017 and loves living in the South! Nickie enjoys spending her weekends at Weiss Lake kayaking and riding jetskis. Family is very important to her, so she often takes long weekends to go back to Illinois to visit family and friends. Nickie joined Total Dental Care in 2018.
Candace graduated from Fairview High School in 2006. She worked in the medical field until 2014 when she graduated at the top of her class from the North Alabama Dental Assisting Program and discovered her passion for dentistry. Candace loves helping people and educating them about their dental health. She is married to her best friend Dylan, and has one son named Aiden. When she is not working, she enjoys being with her family, playing games, music and movies. Candace joined Total Dental Care in 2018, and is a winner of the 2018 Total Dental Care Service Award which recognizes outstanding service to the community.
Tiffany came to us with a background in managing retail operations, accounting and training. She serves on the executive committee of the Guntersville High School Band Boosters and is an active member of Guntersville First United Methodist Church. Tiffany loves meeting new people and putting a smile on their faces. She lives in Guntersville with her husband and three children, and in her spare time she enjoys traveling and serving the community. Tiffany joined Total Dental Care in 2018.
Connie Slobe, R.D.H.
Connie began her dental career after receiving her certified dental assistant certificate from Calhoun Community College in 1990. She then earned her dental hygiene license in 1992 from the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in Birmingham. The best parts of the job for Connie are the patients, and helping each one enjoy the benefits of good oral health. Connie lives in Huntsville with her husband Jon, their son Lucas, and their 3 beagles. Jon and Connie enjoy cooking together and watching movies. Connie joined Total Dental Care in 2019.
